十二生肖套印。

此套印由ㄧ塊極大的老撾原石材切而成，全紅老撾，每一個印章都材大質純。

這件作品從規劃到完成大概有一年半的時間。首先是石材的選料。要找到能切出12個完美無瑕的大印，原材料要多難可想而知。大部分印石有雜有裂，或是色澤不一，或是多色混雜。原石切開後裡面如果有裂，還得要去裂去雜質。因此要切12個同色大材非常難。

原稿在設計上也是要有構思。比如龍虎，選擇刻臥虎姿態，龍藏於雲中，代表臥虎藏龍。蛇則選擇眼鏡蛇的動態，比較威猛。

題款內容也是找每個生肖相關詩文，以各種不同字體刻之，有自運有臨摹，包括隸書、北魏、唐楷、行楷、行書、草書⋯。

Chinese 12 Zodiac Animals

This is a set of work about Chinese 12 Zodiac Animals which made from a big original red Laos Stone. Therefore, all of 12 works are big and high-grade in quality. Sung Gang spent almost 18 months to design and complete the work. First, the selection of the stone. In fact, it’s really hard to find a stone which can be cut into 12 pieces without any cracks. Most of stones have more or less cracks or scars and the surface color are uneven. Moreover, if there are cracks inside the stone, stone carver has to carve out to abrade them into flat and smooth. Therefore, it’s difficult to complete 12 high-grade stones in same color without any cracks.

On the other hand, Sung Gang also put his own inspirations into the designs of manuscript. For example, looking at the works of Tiger and Dragon. Sung Gang carved Tiger in crouching position and Dragon hidden in the clouds to symbolize 《Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon》. In addition, Sung Gang adopted fierce cobra as Snack to show strong momentum of the work.

And last but not least, Sung Gang took respective poetries as the inscriptions of 12 Zodiac Animals. Sung Gang carved respective inscriptions on the front side of the stones in different calligraphic styles, including Clerical script, Regular script in Wei of the Northern Dynasties and Tang Dynasty, semi-cursive script, grass script, etc.

この１組の印鑑は全赤色のベトナムオリジナルの巨石で切られて作られた。12個の印鑑は全部大きくて質がいいである。ソンガンは大体１年半もかけてこの作品を完成した。この過程に、まずは石材の選択。こんなに質が良く12個の傷無く印鑑に切り分けられる巨石は本当に珍しいである。大部分の石材は傷やクラックあり、表面の色も不均一で、石材を切り分けたら、裏のクラックも擦り剥く必要がある。だから、12個同じ色の石に切り分けられる石材は本当に珍しいである。

その一方で、ソンガンも原稿のデザインに工夫しておりた。例えば、しゃがむ虎と雲に隠れるドラゴンを刻んで、臥虎藏龍（がこぞうりゅう）を象徴する。それと、ソンガンはコブラを彫刻し蛇を代表して、勢いのある様子を見せてくれる。

最後、ソンガンは十二支によって、適する詩文を見つけて、各自の銘として12個印鑑の正面に刻んだ。この中でも色々書体が見える。例えば、隷書、六朝楷書、唐書道、楷書、行書、草書体…。
